Got It!

It is official.

I am no longer a stay at home wife.

For two months, I was actively searching for a job, and for two months, I didn't hear anything. No calls for job interviews, nothing. As I was spending another day browsing through jobs, I came across an ad I had seen everytime I searched. Wanted Healthcare Aid. And everytime I faithful skipped over it, until that day. Something drew me in and I looked it over, then proceeded to skip it once again. But something kept drawing me back, and finally I said 'what the heck.. Why not? The worst that can happen is that they are not looking for nurses!' So I quickly sent my resume in, then headed home where I cracked a joke to the hubby about being desperate for a job.

Later that evening, I got the call asking me to come in for an interview! I was in shock! So in short, I went to the interview, got hired on the spot and start on Sunday! Praise The Lord! We are very excited about finding this job!

God is Good, everyday.

It's Cold Outside

We woke up this morning to a very bright and crisp morning. You know the kind of morning that everything looks so fresh and has a certain sparkle to it. Ed had morning bible study so a friend picked him up and he was gone before seven in the morning, leaving me to slowly wake up and get a couple things done before he came home. After he came home we bundled up to go check our chicken and while we both were numb from the cold after the short walk we were amazed how warm the barn seemed to be and the ladies didn't seem all to bothered by the cold! When we came in we made a batch of hot chocolate and decided today was the perfect day for our first fire of the season, and perfect it was! The cool edge our sunroom was instantly dissolved and there was a warmth only fires can bring.

Taken with iPhone.

We spend the next little while chatting and playing with our dog (we had pity on the poor dog because of the cold and she is currently residing in our front porch) while the fire crackled, only stopping talking to add more firewood.  Then it was time to decorate the tree which was not Ed's favorite part of the day but never less fun to do and now our house is filled with a Christmassy atmosphere! Anyways I have to go work on my gift for my person for Christmas we are DIYing this year so hopefully they turn out and our people like them! Have a great evening!

Julia Lynae

Last weekend, my sister Amanda came to visit and between Michelle, Amanda and me we had big plans to shop for yarn for little boys and girls, and redecorate the little girls room.  I sent a text that morning asking Michelle what time we should meet and there was no reply.  In the late morning we got a call from Michelle stating that she could no longer follow through with the plans.  When I asked her why she stated in a very sleepy, slightly out of it voice, "Well, I just had a baby.."  Julia Lynae came into this world in a rush and by emergency c-section and is the sweetest little thing you have ever seen.

Aunty Amanda and I came in the afternoon for our first visit as Ed babysat the other kids and we had so much fun cuddling the sweet baby :)

Random photo of Pup begging me to come out and play in the morning light.  What sweet eyes :)

Ed and I stayed with the other sweet babies as we waited for Michelle to come home. (And yes I know that Lynae is spelt wrong and it was changed)

Little Ryan still sleepy from his afternoon nap.  Lots of sweet cuddles.

Mom and dad coming home.  The kids were so excited!

Katie was thrilled with the baby until she spotted the root beer in her dad's hands.  Once she finished that she was thoroughly in love with Baby Julia.

The boys didn't to much notice of Julia but loved the water mom brought home with her from the hospital and were loving that mom was back.

Katie when we asked if she wanted to hold Julia.

'Hugging'  Baby Julia.

So we took the boys home and had a great couple days with them.  They loved the chickens and the rocking horse and gazing out our front window every time a car drove past.

I promise they did wear clothes sometimes!  I left some berries out on the counter to thaw for a snack and I came into the kitchen to find that the little boys already had found them.  (PS I know that my house is a mess we just got back from the beekeepers convention and then I was gone for a week and nothing was unpacked yet..  yikes!  Don't worry mom I cleaned up :)  )
